This weekend, I embarked on an unexpected adventure to Savannah, Georgia, orchestrated by my wonderful significant other, Justin, who values experiences above all. Our home for this getaway was The Isetta Inn, a unique artist co-op nestled in the heart of the city. We enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the Polaroid room and explored the historic neighborhood on bikes, making memories that will stay with us for a long time.
SCAD Museum Magic: Exploring Savannah’s Cultural Gems
Our itinerary was a tapestry of culture, art, and serendipitous discoveries. Day two unfolded with a morning at the SCAD Art Museum, where despite ongoing installations, we marveled at three exquisite exhibitions.
Strolling the Historic Downtown: Shops and Wonders
The rest of the day was spent wandering the main strip of shops, playing chess in a nearby park, and stumbling upon hidden gems like Graveface Records & Curiosities and Picker Joe’s antique mall. Coco & Moss treated us to incredible cocktails and vibrant vibes, capturing the essence of Savannah’s eclectic charm.
Forsyth Park Bliss: Collins Quarters Morning
Sunday morning brought us to Collins Quarters, a picturesque breakfast spot near Forsyth Park, followed by a leisurely stroll around the iconic fountain.
Fort King George: A Historical Detour
Our journey took an unexpected turn as we spontaneously ventured to the Fort King George Historic Site, an impromptu decision that revealed itself as a brilliant stroke of exploration. This historical gem provided a captivating glimpse into the past, enriching our adventure with its unique narrative.
